The headline:
A person has been rushed to hospital after an incident at a Dunedin beach this afternoon.
St John said while it hasn’t been confirmed, there are reports the person was bitten by a seal or sea lion while in the water.
The comment: Seals/sealions are very protected, breeding at alarming rates, useless, stop pleasant recreation and are destroying the eco-system by reducing inshore fish stocks alarmingly (according to recreational fishermen).
Seals: The maori of the sea?
Highlighting is mine.
