Just Plain Lazy

There is an article on Stuff. co.nz.

It is about a group of rather unsavoury people preying on the stupid and the lazy.

It tells of a business that sells goods at seriously inflated prices by simply being where those people live/congregate.

It also tells of the Sallies moving to join, in fact challenge those merchants.

The government, meantime, is trying to stop this industry through punative legislation.

It won't!

The government would do better by emulating the Sallies and joining the competition.

Allow me to explain: The business is selling goods out of a truck on the streets.

Often the goods are sold on credit with some rather nasty terms and often nastier consequences if those terms aren't met.

The customers are often the lower classes.

I have stated above the customers targeted are the stupid and the lazy.

Not quite true unless you count the deliberately stupid and the professionally stupid who gain something for nothing by acting stupid but the lazy are exactly that:

Too lazy to earn a living, too lazy to improve themselves, too lazy to look after their progeny - who exist only as a reason to get more without earning or deserving it.

Too lazy also to use their days and days of spare time actually travelling a short distance to the local shops to purchase items they need at competitive prices.

It is because of this laziness that the government measures won't work, although they may drive some of the trading underground.

These people (the customers) have been given everything they want for nothing, most of their lives and have got used to getting it.

They, despite their pretenses, are not stupid, they know that the truck prices are grossly inflated.

These people know every bit of charity, every bit extra benefit and every hand-out they are "entitled" to, including each and every bit of legislation with dates and enabling pollies that gives them these entitlements

They also know they can purchase from the trucks at their gate at ridiculous prices and when they have to start paying for these goods they only have to cry to the myriad of (mainly tax-payer supported) agencies set up for exactly that situation and the debt will go away.

Again they will have got what they want for nothing.

Racism in NZ

Headline seen on Stuff.co.nz:

Racism is real in Aotearoa video

Verbal assaults, slurs, profiling and threats of violence are a daily reality.

 Yes they are.

The vast majority coming from the left side of the house or Maori (or PI) spokespeople towards white males.

It's time this stopped!

What the ...?

I found this headline at the bottom of the TV1 site:

Beneficiaries being delivered My Food Bag meals as part of Government trial

The Story.

As well as being paid for doing absolutely nothing to help themselves (except to workers' possessions) the bone-idle are being given free food.

Note this is not in place of free money but in addition to it.

And they're still bloody complaining!

Amazing World

What an amazing world we live in.

We live in a world where each animal may live and survive depending on how suited to that world, that changing world, that animal is.

Many species and sub-species have proved unable to adapt and have died out

Most species have gone exactly that way, the dinosaurs, mammoths, very large birds are just some examples.

History! Just history.

But now we have a problem with humans.

Some can't cope.

In a real world, i.e. the one we live on and are part of, these people would be allowed to follow the dinosaur.

But no, that cannot be

A group of people who are paid very large amounts of money to pretend they are other than they are have decide this cannot be.

These grossly overpaid people will give their assets to those who cannot cope.

Get off the grass!

These people will pretend to sleep rough, as those who are not suited to modern society sometimes do.

They will then go home to the luxury their chosen profession provides while the unfit meet their destiny and the world moves on.

The only question remaining is why the pretenders actions were reported on?

Meanwhile advanced humans, able to compete, take advantage of this amazing world to live, survive and enjoy it.

A genuinely amazing world that would be even more amazing if those overpaid people made genuine sacrifices.

Or maybe I suggest fantasy.

An open letter:

We want the Crusaders to play their regular sublime rugby.

By doing this will they achieve all the other PC crap you (the PC wankers) claim you want.

Underpaying

I read today of four NI pharmacies underpaying staff by $20,000 over a year.

Notably the staff were Indian potential immigrants and the "director" named had a sub-Continent type name.

Has there been a case before the NZ courts in the last ten years where this has not been the case?

Is there a lesson we should be learning from this?

Jofra II

I still doubt Mr Archer was actually racially abused in Tauranga but if he was he now knows what every older white male in New Zealand feels like every time any young left-wing female opens her disgusting mouth.

Monday 25 November 2019

Jofra

Jofra Archer claims he was racially abused by a member of the crowd in Tauranga.

I doubt he was.

Mr Archer is, of course, the dark-skinned, supremely talented, Pom quick bowler who so badly underperformed in the Tauranga test match.

He claims he was racially abused - despite also claiming he didn't know the meaning of the words allegedly used - after he was dismissed in the Pom second innings leaving his team only one wicket away from ignominious defeat.

I doubt he was racially abused because in every crowd of more than three people in New Zealand there is one wanker who will report to authorities and the slime, any comment overheard, directed at anyone other than a white man, that is not completely approbatory, yet not one complaint other than Archer's has been reported.

I also doubt the claim because most NZ cricket fans are not stupid and would have been applauding Mr Archer on his ineptitude that had him caught on the boundary.

More, I suspect, a poor loser than a victim.

Clear the Decks - Forcefully!

I note "protesters" (read scum) have been forcibly removed from a ship in Timaru.

The ship was going about it's perfectly legal and above board business when these scum decided they could thieve the rights of those working on it, plus taxpayer money from NZ workers used to pay for cleaning the pollution off the ship by NZ police.

NZ now has dedicated armed police squads running around playing Tom Mix.

I suggest those armed police are made to earn their grossly inflated salary and ordered to go in shooting at every occasion when groups (or individuals) act on their thoughts that they are more important or know better than tax-paying New Zealanders.

I have no doubt after just one instance these thief scum will find another way of protesting, one that does not include disrupting the lives of honest New Zealanders.

Last Rhino?

A headline on the AP Website:

Sumatran rhino is extinct in Malaysia as lone survivor dies

Surely if this female was the last one the species was extinct in Malaysia already.

Note also the "Extinct in Malaysia" bit.

There are, according to the story, about 80 Sumatran rhinos left so how does "extinct" get into the story?

That 'photo

There it is, I'm sure everyone living has now seen it.

The 'photo is of a middleaged man and a younger woman standing close together.

The man's hand is casually on the woman's waist.

Both are looking directly at the camera and both are smiling.

The young woman's eyes appear bright and happy giving her an attractive look.

Her body language in the 'photo suggests casual intimacy.

There are no signs, based on the photograph, that anything is other than all correct and above board.

The young woman now, many years later, claims she was being forced at the time to prostitute herself to the man.

The 'photo suggest, to me at least, that this claim is far from true.

I appear to be the only one who thinks this way - and I don't understand why.

Please note: I make no comment on age of protagonists, who's rooting whom, who's paying, etc. etc. etc.

Natural Justice?

A headline on Stuff reads:

Zespri to take civil case in China as illegal gold kiwifruit plantings expand

I accept the gold Kiwifruit was invented by New Zealand but the simple fact that New Zealand stole the Chinese Gooseberry, renamed it Kiwifruit and marketed it very successfully suggests to me that maybe China stealing the yellow variety is no more than justice.

Police Failure

Yesterday morning a car failed to keep left on State Highway1, pulled into the path of a truck and it's two occupants died.

The truck, out of control, went into a paddock and fell across a railway line.

The truck driver survived without injury.

The police came, noticed the position of the truck, got an at-risk power line and it's pole repaired, stopped trains.

They then took a few photographs and a video, painted a couple of reference points on the road, got the damaged vehicle off the road and got traffic moving again.

Did they fuck!

They closed the road for over 12 hours while they farted around, no doubt trying to find someone to blame.

I counted four separate police cars at the site a couple of hours after the crash - plus several other vehicles.

A completely unnecessary imposition on the thousands of road users using the part of SH1 on a Sunday.

I can only assume that such a situation allows the NZ Police an excuse to not do the job they are grossly overpaid to do.

4 cars is almost certainly at least 8 policemen not chasing burglars, arresting gang members for having unlicensed guns, protecting the public or stopping old ladies and children being assaulted in their own homes.

Millane Trial

A sheila came to New Zealand for sex.

She died during that sex.

The other party involved in that sex appears to be a right scumbag and is now on trial for causing that death.

A little unusual, probably worth reporting but the slime are treating the trial like a television series.

The top headline on Newshub right now:

GRACE MILLANE MURDER TRIAL: WHAT TO EXPECT FROM WEEK TWO

Just how sick are these bastards?

courage

As I watched a documentary on the uprising of Eastern Europe that culminated in the fall of the Berlin wall I could not help wonder at the bravery of all those people who risked their lives to overcome exactly the same policies NZ's current government is attempting to impose on us right now.

Traffic taxing

An interesting report that proposes, in the main, more taxes on road users while forgetting that everyone is a road user.

If Mr Jones the butcher does not transport both himself and his meat to his place of work Mrs Smith the mother will not be able to feed her children the nutritious and healthy food they need to grow big and strong even if Mrs Smith doesn't drive.

https://nzinitiative.org.nz/reports-and-media/reports/the-price-is-right-the-road-to-a-better-transport-system/

They actually mean more tax on vehicle owners, a far different thing.

I note however that no report on transport I've read addresses the main need in NZ cities to reduce fuel consumption and therefore the amount of rubbish vehicles pump into the air.

That need, of course, is to get that motorised traffic flowing freely and efficiently and no constantly stopping and starting at badly thought out city traffic control systems.

Instead the reverse is true with cities traffic flows being designed to impede the motorists by slowing and stopping vehicle progress - usually to enable roadlice to be free and easy, always at someone else's expense.

The cities then, as Christchurch is doing right now, realise people who prefer to drive vehicles are avoiding those cities and are going elsewhere.

Noticeably those cities never, ever, admit their stupidity and the situation continues to deteriorate while the traffic mis-management carry on designing new impediments.

The solution is rather simple and will both improve traffic flow in the long term and bring people back into the city.

That solution: We should turn off all traffic lights and string up and flog every traffic engineer and city councillor along the main road of each city, daily.

It won't improve congestion but drivers will be so excited at the prospect of going around again to view, from the start, the line of being dealt to no-hopers they will drive both carefully and promptly.

Thereafter traffic flow in our cities will improve dramatically.

Dyers Pass Road

Christchurch has a road going up and over the hills to the South called the Dyers Pass Road.

It is a narrow-ish, winding road.

Narrow-ish in that two large tourist-type busses may need to do a dance to pass on two of the corners but over all there is plenty of room for traffic.

The only real hazard are road-lice and the problems they cause for equally bad road users behind steering wheels.

The road is generally a pleasure to drive and I have driven it probably 200 plus times over the last year, in vehicles of various sizes, most of the time while giving a commentary to the tourists in the vehicle.

I cannot remember a close call, not even an incident, on the road that did not involve a cyclist going down hill at high speed, uncontrolled and unable to keep to his (it's always his) lane.

On Sunday, last, two motorcycles collided on the road and the riders died.

I don't know the details but suspect that they were going the opposite direction from each other and one (at least) did not respect the keep left law on a blind corner. i.e. someone made a mistake and, unfortunately, two paid for that mistake.

The headline in the news the next day went along the lines of "Notorious Dyers Pass Road Claims Two More Victims".

What a load of pure and utter bullshit!

The road has no notoriety, it did not cause the accident nor did it, except in a completely passive way, kill the riders.

I have no doubt that because of the headline the disgraceful traffic mis-management scum contracted to the Christchurch City Council will attempt to "slow the road down".

I admit to never achieving the current speed limit on it but reducing that limit will simply increase frustration of motorists on the hill and those frustrated motorists are almost certain to make mistakes and put more of us innocent road-users in danger.

Far better, in fact, to remove all speed limits on the hill.

The road itself will set it's speed limit and the Darwin Principle will enforce it.

Gun Ownership

There is a column on Stuff with a sub-heading: "Violent, sexual and drug offenders are among the thousands of gun owners with convictions".

I haven't read the story which is almost certainly yet another left-wing attempt to justify the removal of more freedoms from innocent New Zealanders.

I do not however doubt the fact stated which is, of course, yet another indication of the depth of incompetence and complete lack of effective leadership within the New Zealand Police Force.

It is NZ Police who control, absolutely, NZ firearms licenses and therefore NZ gun ownership.

I include illegal firearm ownership that has, for so long, been ignored because so many of those illegal owners are gang (and/or special people) related.

The New Zealand Police Force is rotten and needs a complete overhaul - from the head down.

The performance around firearms law and it's compliance m,ay be a good place to start.

End of Life Bill

The End of Life Bill appears to be going to referendum although that referendum does not appear, at least, to be binding.

I doubt I'll vote for it, I'll probably abstain.

The bill is a much watered down version of what it could be and doesn't address the issue I want it to.

I'm 66 and the future scares me more and more as time passes.

For the last 25 years I have worked in industries dealing with the public and one piece of advice I have been offered daily over those years is "Don't grow old!".

I don't want to grow old, I don't want to end my life in the back corner of a rest home, drooling, pissing and shitting myself, unwanted and forgotten. Wanting only, in my few and lessening lucid moments, to get it over with and die.

I'd far rather, as soon as I can no longer be of use to anyone (at the moment I'm a good bad example), including myself, some kind person puts me down - as you would a dog or cat in a similar position.

When the (a) bill addresses this part of life I'll vote for it.

Tuesday 22 October 2019

Don't Ban for Thought Crime.

In 1981 I supported the Springboks tour of New Zealand.

Like the vast majority of New Zealanders I considered apartheid to be senseless but considered providing an example to South Africans a better way of arguing than simply refusing to communicate by banning them.

I would do the same today.

This is why I am becoming more and more concerned when reading of people being banned from our shores for holding views abhorrent to the PC classes.

The most recent being a Seppo god-botherer who doesn't like the capital letters people (among others).

Among those supporting his banning publicly is Farrar from Kiwiblog.

Farrar states among other things that this gentleman has " prayed for Obama and Caitlyn Jenner to die".

He (Anderson, the Seppo) has also called for homosexuals to be executed, denied the holocaust and suggested a shooting of a Seppo gay nightclub was not a bad thing - again according to Farrar.

One thing before I continue: Who or what the f@#$ is Caitlyn Jenner?

I digress!

I note that none of the charges are for inciting or committing violence.

He simply asks for a law change and "prays".

Praying, as most adults know, is mainly limited to the loser class and most often involves a card, six numbers, a horse or a roulette wheel.

It has never had any observable effect on either prayer or the deity to whom the loser is praying.

Obviously the Seppo is not the nicest nor brightest but surely banning him simply reinforces his prejudices while allowing him to come and witness life as New Zealanders (outside of politics and universities) live it may just make him think a little more.

Maybe even rationally.

TV3 in trouble?

TV3 are apparently in trouble.

MediaWorks have had their radio and television news "service" on the market for some time and now are separating the two for sale.

I have switched to TV3 occasionally over the last few years. Each time I've wondered why they exist at all and switched away promptly.

TV channels are anachronistic, even the brain-dead realising the remote allows you to find entertainment you want to watch rather than the crap channels want you to watch, the only thing they should present well, the news, destroyed by allowing talking-head news readers to express their always-communistic "opinion" rather than simply convey the facts.

The call, as always when reality bites anything the left holds dear, is for the taxpayer to buy the outfit.

Why?

The taxpayer already financially support left-wing propaganda spewing TVNZ and RadioNZ.

If NZ has or needs another media organisation it should be one that targets those who actually work for their living and are prepared to personally pay for their pleasure.

i.e. those of a right-wing persuasion.

I wouldn't mind if my taxes supported such an organisation but, in reality, such an organisation would have no need nor desire for such support.

Friday 11 October 2019

Waste of time!

Christchurch and Auckland have re-elected two of the most useless bastards who ever drew breath to the highest office of their respective cities.

I understand the idea of equal opportunities for the challenged but this is taking it to the extreme - or is it that local body politics actually is removed from reality?

Small Meals

I live alone, one of a fast growing group in the Western World who choose to do so.

I am a reasonable cook, having spent many years in commercial kitchens observing, and sometimes learning from, very good chefs.

I often plan meals while driving home from work (30 minutes) and execute those plans once home, much more often than not enjoying the result of those plans.

I eat mainly left-overs.

This is because I have never been able to find cooking equipment small enough and efficient enough to produce a range of meals small enough to allow me to constantly have freshly cooked meals without waste.

When I do find small equipment it often costs far more than large equipment. eg a 1L electric jug will cost me at least $70 (often more) when I can buy a 1.7L for $30.

I can't find a small covered frying pan, I can't find a small electric frying pan or electric pot.

The small slow-cooker I have does not like small meals, needing constant supervision when I try to use it for such (negating, of course, the beauty of a slow cooker).

Then trying to find small quantities of food with which to prepare the meals I want to cook is almost impossible.

Yes a greengrocer will sell you one spud, one piece of ginger, one chilli but not happily and try buying a half-porterhouse, one pork loin chop.

I know we all have freezers but I'm lazy so tend to put trays of meat in instead of dividing the contents into several little bags.

Veges often go into the refrigerator  where half are used and half rot before being thrown out. Fresh herbs share a similar fate.

Wouldn't it be great if supermarkets and other food retailers sold pre-packed trays with three of four day's one-meal meat requirements plus, maybe, a small quantity of flavouring-type herbs/veges and small quantities of veges.

Of course, at the same time, cooking equipment manufacturers need to start producing the cookware suitable for preparing these meals.

With fast increasing numbers of people choosing (or having it chosen for them) to live alone I'm convinced this will be a very profitable move - one, were I not so old and tired, I'd enter into myself.

Gibberish?

There is a post on BreakingviewsNZ.blogspot.com labelled: "New research to get a better night’s sleep for tamariki"

The post appears to be of no consequence, saying nothing than excuse more free money for the special people.

I comment on it only because of the liberal use of gibberish throughout it making it incomprehensible even if I was interested in it.

This combining of two languages (if the gibberish is in fact a language and not a deliberate attempt at sabotage) seems to be a recent New Zealand thing, replacing perfectly good English words with some from the recently invented one often, I believe, referred to as "Te Reo".

Authors, it needs to stop!

You obviously want your creation to be read by English-reading people or you wouldn't start pieces in english so stick to english.

If you want it to be read by Greek, or Roman, or Maori in Greek, Italian (or Latin) or Maori write the entire column in that language.

I'm surprised! I managed to type this whole comment without swearing (I think, there's one word I copy-and-pasted I'm not sure about).

I have never though, come across an example of this gibberish-inclusion without doing so and I can assure writers that when I do so I immediately dismiss the argument as not worth the effort of thinking about it.

More Tax!

From RNZ:

12:05 pm today

Big bills coming for motorists: 'Someone's got to pay for it' - govt

The gummint is going to rob motorists to pay for more speed cameras and more instant-fine issuing snakes.

I'm sure there is, somewhere in New Zealand, someone living off the grid, producing 100% of their own food and clothing, never leaving the farm, who doesn't use the transport system.

Why are only motorists going to pay for it?

Tomatoes

I don't know about you folks but I'm out to stock up on tinned tomatoes, Italian tinned tomatoes.

Dear countdown.

Freedom

I refer you to the article on Stuff .co.nz:

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/education/116407248/refusal-to-publish-nz-academics-book-is-a-worrying-blow-for-free-speech

and a blog post by Karl DuFresne Here. about the article and the terrifying consequences should the left (including the CoL) manage to complete their task of censoring everything they disgree with.

The named academics are obviously learned people, their cause one that should be supported by every correct-thinking New Zealander but I must wonder whether the academics overplay their hand slightly.

Emerald Press are surely not the only publisher in the English-speaking world.

From the article: "Flynn will not be the last New Zealand academic – or the last New Zealander – to have their right to express their views effectively curtailed."

Why can't Mr Flynn simply use another publisher? Publish himself if no one else will?

Do the academics (and Mr DuFresne) weaken their argument, an argument I think is the major dilemma facing man today, by going the shock/horror route rather than just stating facts?

Retail Struggling? No bloody wonder!

NZ retailers complain they are struggling. I refer you to:

https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/money/2019/09/retail-industry-far-from-dead-despite-half-of-businesses-struggling-to-hit-sales-targets.html?ref=ves-nextauto

The newshub article repeats retailers whinging about sales on line.

What it doesn't address is why online sales are so popular.

Let's start with price and availability.

I'm a fat bastard. Only one retailer in my area (I'm in a large NZ city) caters for fat bastards clothing (although the Warehouse is starting to). That retailer (and now the Warehouse) aim at being cheap. I want quality and will happily pay for it so reasonable price is acceptable.

Recently I needed shorts.

None of acceptable quality were available locally.

I went online to NZ companies.

The cheapest were $199. and then I didn't like them.

I went online to Amazon America.

Wrangler Brand denim shorts, bloody good quality, were less than $NZ50. - at my door with a three week delivery time.

As an aside they are GREAT!

I can accept a 100% mark-up but 400% for an inferior product suggests NZ retailers deserve to be struggling.

Next: Service.

The following quote within the article suggests retailers or their representatives actually have no real idea how humans work, something I've noticed when in shops recently.

"In many cases it's going to be possible to find cheaper goods online, but what you won't necessarily get if you're making those purchases online is that customer experience, that in-store experience - the ability to touch and feel goods, the ability to go in there with friends and family and see what's going on," he says. "There's that whole social aspect to retail which is really, really important."

What bloody "social aspect"?

If I want the ability to go in there with friends and family and see what's going on," I'll have a family bar-b-que, go to the pub, visit friends for a quiet drink.

I certainly won't go to a F$#King shop!

When I go into a shop (any shop) I want a salesperson to acknowledge me and ask (if possible) if they can help.

My purpose in that shop is to buy what I want the get the hell out.

I want service that enables that. It is the marketing department's (the Boss in a small shop) job to ensure I see what they are trying to sell, not the sales attendant.

The sales attendant is there to help me decide which option to choose.

One shop (electronics) I went to recently had a sign "Please wait here for a sales person".

I went to the opposition.

Retailers are struggling because they are not catering to what I want. Price is a very small component in this although certainly a consideration.

The main consideration is when I walk into a shop I want the salesman to approach me and tell me "Yes we have what you want, It's here. Please leave as much money here as you can. Did you see anything else on your travels through this shop that may enable me to lighten your credit card?", smile, process the sale and thank me for my business.

That is all.

Garry Lineker

I support Garry Lineker - and I don't even know what he said.

Man Made Global War...on Capitalism

A subject I have touched upon in my rather brutish way.

Mr DuFresne not just explains it better but uses far better language to do so.

http://karldufresne.blogspot.com/2019/10/the-rise-of-militant-veganism.html

Worth a read also.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/sep/29/scientists-tell-un-global-climate-summit-no-emerge/

Aviation

I notice headlines saying something like: "Aviation Industry suffering from Greta effect".

I notice that part of the fraud was taking a yacht across the Atlantic to New York a crew member flew across to crew the boat back across so Greta could fly home in style.

The other attendees at the UN gathering (including NZ's own disgrace) all flew in - many in private 'planes - and, at least in that were honest.

That "suffering" (if not just in the slime imagination) must be caused by a serious upsurge in demand for flights.

Just shift it.

A subheading on RNZ.co.nz states: The case for moving the trial of the man accused of the Christchurch mosque attacks to another city will be heard at the High Court in Christchurch today.

 Why the argument?

Just shift it to a place where a fair trial is guaranteed.

Karachi, Khartoom or Aden would be preferable.

A new Pom hero arises.

Watch a man serve mankind in the best possible way: https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/lifestyle/2019/10/angry-customer-punches-vegan-in-face-at-uk-pizza-restaurant-protest.html

Uber or a Cab

I refer you to

https://thespinoff.co.nz/books/29-09-2019/the-extraordinary-and-appalling-true-story-of-the-rise-of-uber/

I admit having little sympathy for the thieves driving Uber vehicles (having been a cabbie) but suggest you look at what is now the NZ taxi industry.

Most companies I know (including the company I was a shareholder of) have been taken over by grossly dishonest immigrants from countries bordering the Gulf of Arabia (a body of water running from Somalia in Africa to India).

Passengers are now viewed as mugs, to be relieved of as much money as possible, service (unless viewed as lucrative) is a dirty word and drivers born in NZ are driven out, no longer needed nor appreciated because they tend to favour honesty.

The scum driving Uber (and now Ola) were happy to thieve from traditional cabbies, happy to rip off the system only now to discover driving a car costs money - a damned sight more money than a percentage of Uber's fares provide.

Driving a traditional cab used to mean working long hours for not bad money.

It also meant being a good people-person, being deaf (and sometimes blind), having the patience of Job and cleaning the vehicle after every job.

When Uber achieves it's ultimate aim and operates only driverless vehicles who's going to listen to your troubles, who's going to get the car laughing for that long drive home and, most important, who's going to clean up after the last dirty bastards so you can get home in that new dress (or suit) you paid $1,000 for without ruining it?

One thing I can guarantee: They will be listening to every word you say - with video!

The joys (or otherwise) of watching TV sport.

I watched part of a Caribbean half-cricket match (20/20) last night.

Even 20/20 is better than watching rugby with it's totally incompetent officiating and terrible commentators.

I stopped watching because Danny (Fizz-boy) Morrison was behind the microphone meaning mute was compulsory at such a time.

Prior to hitting that mute button I remembered just how very, very bad NZ commentators are, how they must continue yakking non-stop instead of recognising that people watching television can see what is happening.

Morrison, Doull  and Lose are the worst I've heard since Quinn hung up his noise-assister.

Most other NZ television sport commentators are also terrible.

Most of the time during play a commentary is unnecessary noise, what is needed is occasional interpretation of the play, the identification of particular players and fill-in information (may be history, player profile, competition or performance details etc.

The Seppos get it right, the Poms and english-language Indians are also good most of the time (cricket only) making baseball, american football and Pom/Indian cricket a pleasure to watch.

Most of the NZ fellows know their game, the three above were all international players, but they never learn when to talk and when to shut up.

Thought of several days

You read the stories of a young student dying in ChCh University Hall of Residence and you wonder how he was not found for two months.

Obviously no friends, no associates. Maybe that's why he died.

You also read the comments of students about that young man's age, about how there is no adult there to check on people, to ensure their safety.

While reading these comments one thought continuously goes through my mind: "..and people want to give these pathetic bastards the vote?".

Why is this news?

Stuff.co.nz, breathlessly I'm guessing, announce that some stores are starting to promote the Xmas period.

At the end of September.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/116110624/christmas-decorations-and-advent-calendars-have-arrived-at-stores

Why?

Why do commercial decisions and timing of annual promotions have anything to do with news or anyone else except those businesses and their customers?

Was a store to start putting Xmas items up in it's store on 27 December this may be news in the "today's funnies" column but other that is, in fact, of no interest at all.

Nor is the "fact" (this is a slime report so by definition remains suspect) that some stores are starting their Xmas promotions now.

I can only assume that Stuff.co.nz are now so incompetent that the problems within the Labour Party re sexual assault, the problems farmers face providing our nation with export earnings and the problems NZ people face with an unlead, disgracefully performing government removing freedom of thought and expression from ALL New Zealanders are not important enough (in the Slime's view), to fill news content.

I disagree!

Life is Terminal

I have been reading the slime reports of something I admit I've not seen (despite working in the city today). Apparently there was a "Climate Strike".

No not the climate striking, in any sense of the word "striking", but apparently a whole group of people tried to save the world by (I'm not making this up) not doing anything.

Of course some are incompetent at not doing anything so made up signs, polluted the inner city, talked to like-minded slime etc - proving they are actually pretty good at not doing anything (useful).

One caught my eye. From RNZ:

"Another organiser Luke Wijohnand said: "There's such a difference between what we see happening in our political area and what is coming out from these scientists. It's like they don't even read the stuff, it's like they can't even understand or they don't panic when they hear that billions of people are going to die."

ALL people die. Life is terminal.

Is Luke suggesting by causing the death of billions (which is what the implementation of Luke's mates ideas would cause - by starvation etc.) some will become immortal?

Funny?

There is a headline on the Spinoff:

Behind the scenes of Funny As: New Zealand comedians on how they do it

I haven't read the column, nor shall I.

I don't care how these NZ "comedians" do "it", nor, particularly, what "it" is.

It is the "Funny As" I question. Funny as what?

There is a photo/montage accompanying the headline, I assume of these NZ "comedians". I could name three, have seen and heard a few more, mainly on television advertisements.

From those occasions I suspect the answer is "as a 'plane crash".

A Sad Continuation of Fraud.

The Swedish teenage fraudster continues to be given air-time by the left wing slime.

That her and her promoters are both wrong and dishonest is not in doubt and near the end of this rather good column

 https://breakingviewsnz.blogspot.com/2019/09/delingpole-fact-checking-alarmist-kids.html

the reason is uncovered. i.e, Green is the new Red.

The current Green movement mirrors exactly the communist movement of the 60s and 70s where schoolgirls (and yes they were almost always schoolgirls, the wimpish schoolboys supporting them almost always did so for reasons not in the least political) ran around waving Mao's "Little Red Book" while condemning the West for it's attempts to stem the advance of totalitarian communism and it's gutless mate "socialism".

Really?

Do these people actually exist?

https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/rugby-world-cup/rwc-2019-japan/115945519/rugby-world-cup-be-prepared-for-the-worst-if-the-unthinkable-happens-again

Sir Robert Jones probably says it better:

https://nopunchespulled.com/2019/09/20/rugbys-decline/

I'm an old fart.

At school I was taught rugby, whether I liked it or not.

I liked it, it didn't like me.

I played other games as well - almost as badly.

I still loved the game and followed it (while playing other games) most of my life.

For years I could name every All Black and every local player who should have been an All Black - and told you why.

That changed when the NZRU bought a player, who had no real idea of the game, with the promise of a guaranteed selection in the top team, i.e. the All Blacks.

I realised NZ rugby had become a business.

As an aside I observed this player leaving an Hotel offering electronic amusement when he was, according to publicity-type promotion, supposedly with the local team he was contracted to, learning the game he was being paid to play.

I divert.

My question stands: Do these people actually exist?

Do people who feel pain when the local team is not first in a tournament ( but may be the best team in the world) actually exist in the modern world?

Is Mel Brooks question in Blazing Saddles particularly prescient here?

"or are they just jerking off?"

SCUM!

Organised crime scum killed.

The Slime lionize the mob POS because he died by the violence his lifestyle promoted.

Hard to believe?

That is what's happening as I type.

The slime have decided that a member of the Mongrel Mob, the illegal gang that terrorise people while dealing in illegal, murderous drugs and accompanying violence that is an anathema to law abiding, honest citizens, should be mourned.

Why?

Perhaps (I admit I guess) because this scum is of the special people.

The "special" people who strive to make New Zealand an apartheid country.

Apartheid, of course, is an Afrikaans word meaning "separate development" that stands in the modern world to mean the ultimate in deliberate racism.

NZ is a country peopled mostly by whites, about 67% was the last estimate I read.

Those whites started arriving (whalers first after the explorers found the place) 4-500 years after the first invaders, brown polynesians.

Those polynesians (no, they don't deserve a capital), after initial contact and disagreement, decided the only way forward was to beg the white invaders for protection.

The white Queen, half a world away and (correctly) not overly trusting her Frog neighbours, agreed.

In the late 1980s some idiot politicians (led by a short term Prime Minister) saw votes in pretending the special people were hard done by and should have access to the taxpayer's money.

To enable this the politicians started, dishonestly, attempting to purvey a sense of guilt to non-thinking whites (mainly sheilas of both sexes).

Another idiot politician, unfortunately also a PM, assisted by a very successful conman, followed, pushing the same line.

Many NZers of the female disability (not all thank the gods, the great Jenny temporarily intervened, if only for a short time) fell for the bullshit.

The browns, every one by then only partially brown, were acclaimed as the special people.

This continues to this day.

As an aside I also talk of a country that elected, and continues to allow, a complete moron, bone-idle lazy, too stupid to survive without direction and grossly dishonest in every thought and deed as Prime Minister.

Not a bright country!

I digress.

The "special people are now, based on the quoted above slime line, to be so far above taxpaying NZers that they must be mourned, no matter the disgusting things of their illegal, immoral activities.

Personally, given the chance, I shall urinate on the bastards grave!

Monday 16 September 2019

To Vax or not to Vax? That is the Question.

The vaccination/anti-vaccination argument continues.

I admit I don't completely understand it.

When I was young (and dinosaurs ruled the Earth) there were no vaccines available for many of these diseases.

Children went to school, measles, mumps and chicken pox ravaged the schools, all children caught them (often one after the other), the children then became immunised and the only ones we felt concerned about were those few who didn't because the diseases were known to hit adults harder.

For children in those days the diseases were often more good than bad: A couple of days not feeling well and being spoilt followed by a week of Dr Paul and Portia Faces Life until it was unfortunately deemed you were risk free and sent back to school.

Of course now days Portia Faces Life and Dr Paul would be replaced by the Cartoon Network and the Disney Channel.

Todays children miss out on so much!

Maybe the anti-vax crowd have a point.

Maybe if every child is allowed to get the disease and develop natural immunity the effect of measles etc. will actually be minimised and children, health wise at least, will become hardier.

Language: The use of

I love reading, particularly reading good columnists and blog writers.

One site I find very good is Spiked.

I can always find something entertaining and thoughtful to read and https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/09/16/sorry-sam-smith-but-youre-still-a-he/ is such.

I must admit that prior to a couple of days ago when I read about this pro-noun nonsense declaration I'd never heard of Sam Smith.

I still have never, to my knowledge, heard the noise he makes. Nor do I want to.

Brendan O'Neill makes a great argument why this declaration by Smith is so wrong, as is the slime by acceding to the demand.

The only point he doesn't make, and I make now, is that language (any language) is a device for communication.

The use of that language is diminished if, as with Humpty Dumpty, language can be anything the speaker wishes it to be.

Language has set meanings and while those meanings may change with the times (not always for the good - try having a gay old time nowdays) those meanings, in Sam Smith's case pro-nouns, need to be adhered to.

Of course, in Sam Smith's case I'll make an exception - I don't give a hoot whether I understand what he says or not!

History?

The Gummint has announced that NZ History is to be a compulsary subject in all NZ schools.

Which NZ history?

The actual history or the one being made up every day by various lefties and maoris?

Tuesday 10 September 2019

Genuinely incompetent, disgustingly dishonest.

The deflection by the slime attempting to hide the incompetence and dishonesty of the PM over the Labour staffer sex assault scandal appears to be unraveling.

For the first time the slime are reporting just how bad Labour "leadership" has been in handling the now uncontested (by almost everyone involved) allegations of physical and sexual assault by the staffer.

Only now is the slime, with the exception of Hosking who raised the subject when it first came to light, starting to report just how totally dishonest and incompetent the party "leader" is.

Of course the big problem is this thing is running our country, making decisions that we, the tax payer, will be paying for from many, many years to come.

If that doesn't keep you awake at night, those pills are really good!

HRC

I refer you to http://pc.blogspot.com/2019/09/human-rights-commission-freedom-of.html

Particularly:

It gets worse, according to David Cumin of the Coalition.
Believe it or not, the [misnamed] HRC argues that freedom to form an opinion is only applicable in private – that freedom of thought does not extend to being allowed to adopt thoughts or beliefs at a public event ...
That an organisation calling itself by the name of "human rights' would argue this (if reported correctly) is appalling. It is good that the trial has helped reveal the true nature of this organisation.
Many have long known the HRC is badly faulted, imperfectly balancing political, sexual and racial bias.

By making this claim the HRC confirms this analysis.

Worried

I'm worried that someone may find this blog.

It is not my intention, I write only that I may retain my thoughts, not for anyone else.

If you do find it, disregard it. It isn't for you.

If you've read this far you really are a masochist. Join the club.

I dreamed that someone actually read my comments and then critiqued my use of English.

I'd hate that!

Since that dream I have considered promoting this blog - and dismissed the idea.

Bloody silly idea!

Fires

I have just read a column on fires around the globe.

 https://breakingviewsnz.blogspot.com/

It is the third such column I've read in the last two days.

The annual Amazon fires have been in the news recently with the usual suspects, politicians who want to control your every thought and action, people who pretend to be someone else for a living, noise (usually of the horrible type) makers etc. making statements of the shock/horror type while every one of them comes up with the same solution, that being that eating meat, drinking anything other than water or milk and enjoying yourself is the reason Armageddon is nigh.

Having watched this phenomena for some time now I've decided there can only be one reaction to these people and those who repeat their propoganda.

There is no use arguing with them or pointing out the errors of their thinking.

From now on I shall, openly and in their face, laugh at them.

I encourage you to do the same.

free lunches

I notice the government has announced they will be trialing free lunches for some schools.

I haven't noticed the government announcing an investigation as to why some parents are not feeding their children despite being given excessive amounts of tax-payer money for the express purpose of doing so.

Could this government be, once again, trying to buy votes from the dishonest the lazy and the brain dead?

Shock! Horror!

Shock, horror headline on Newshub:

'Exploitative': Beer cheaper than a can of coke targeting poor Auckland communities

https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2019/08/exploitative-beer-cheaper-than-a-can-of-coke-targeting-poor-auckland-communities.html

Isn't that what they want?

Isn't the great Satan sugar and, particularly, the sugar pushers, head of which is Coca Cola?

Beer is, in fact, good for you. It gives you malt, vitamins and minerals.

Coca Cola gives you pleasure, quenches your thirst and is produced by "Big Business" so must be very, very bad for anyone.

Surely even the tiniest greenie mind ( a serious competition indeed) must understand that beer is by far the preferable product.

So what is their problem?

Wednesday 28 August 2019

Fluoride

Given that NZ's drinking water is mostly fluoridated and NZ in 2017 voted in such a way the current government was made possible I fear this headline is correct.

ITN: FLUORIDE MAKES YOU STUPID.....

https://www.sott.net/article/419135-Objective-Health-ITN-Fluoride-Makes-You-Stupid-RFK-JR-Hits-Back-Tech-Censorship

Of course ChCh electing, twice, a grossly incompetent, leftist drunk tends to suggest it ain't only fluoride.

Five? Yes!

Cricket's test haters are again talking a reduction to four days for test cricket.

In Colombo this last week we saw the perfect reason why five-day tests are still the best option.

Had that been a four day test the game would have resulted in a boring draw that would have further enhanced the anti-test argument.

Instead because the test had a fifth day we saw a marvelous finish where the visiting team was not just trying to dismiss the hosts for a win but also fighting the elements - in this case , light and pending rain - to gain that win and thirty points in the test championship.

If a test only goes four days, fantastic. Players and officials get a day off.

If a test is badly rain affected, as in Sri Lanka last week, five days mean we can still get a result and a brilliant, tension filled finish.

Notably many tests are rain affected and probably more will be while teams are forced to use extra days at different times of the year than is tradition to complete the recently introduced test championship

Until test cricket is played in covered stadiums let's keep the five day format.

Let's keep getting those wonderfully entertaining, result producing, final days.

Sunday 25 August 2019

Disgusting at best

I watched the worst minute of television I've ever experienced last night (Sunday).

I watched it for about a minute because I was that shocked I needed the minute to believe what I was watching/listening to.

That minute was the most disgraceful racism I've ever heard broadcast.

It was the sort of thing sometimes heard in pubs or overheard in public, usually shouted by very small men or drunk and disheveled women who's main aim is to attract attention to themselves.

The sort of thing that passes for normal discourse among female (of both sexes) green politicians.

The program was something called The Comedy Cellar (or similar) and the minute was entirely a black sheila (it took some effort to restrain from a different word there) spouting racism.

The sheila was filmed in close-up, accompanied by what I assume iwas a laugh track - there was no humour, not even any attempt at humour in anything I heard during that minute so I doubt there was any noise at all from any audience present.

I enjoy comedy, particularly of the edgy kind, even when I'm the target, I enjoy laughing but to laugh something needs to be funny.

This wasn't.

"Each to his own, such is life" you may say but the problem I have was that had the role been reversed and this same shit spoken by a white, particularly by a white man, the slime would have a field day.

Every news organisation in the world would headline with demands for imprisonment, castration and anything else they could dream up.

Because it's by a sheila, a black sheila, it's somehow OK.

Why is any broadcaster, in this case SKY, allowed to present this blatantly racist crap?

Recipe: Corn Soup

This recipe is so that I may remember it.

Yesterday I poached some mushrooms in wine (1 cup) and chicken stock (2 cups).

Today made  corn soup:

1 tin creamed corn
2 Cups chicken stock
1 Tablespoon Ginger
1 Tablespoon HOT Thai chilli sauce
Black pepper, freshly ground, to taste

Optional: Stir in 1 beaten egg just before you finish cooking.

Heat the lot in a good sized saucepan and simmer until the mix starts thickening.

Upon serving add two sliced, pre-poached mushrooms.

NOTE: You may add finely chopped chicken leftovers during cooking but not required for a damned nice, tasty soup.

Winter

Over the last month NZ has experienced cold weather.

Storms from the Souther Ocean sweeping up the country on a regular basis, heaps of cold white horrible wet stuff on the mountains, a few days of rain and generally inclement conditions.

The slime appear to be worrying about this, the latest suggestion being an unproven idea that global warming is creating this cooling.

These conditions are weather of course, they're only "climate" if they conform with global warming.

Strangely I have experienced these type of conditions before, quite a few times in fact.

In my day we called this phenomena "Winter".

Pathetic!

I draw your attention to the following article:

https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/property/115152711/tenant-claims-transgender-comment-made-while-viewing-a-unit-in-otahuhu-auckland

In it some sheila (who claims to be gainfully employed but I suspect otherwise) complains she overheard a real-estate agent  advising a prospective tenant on the sexuality of an upstairs tenant in the property.

Having known a significant number of transgender people over the years and, as part of my business, dealt with many more, I personally would be happy, in those circumstances, getting this information - transgender people rating very high in the noise making category, only behind very camp queers, in my experience.

The notable thing is not just that such an inane story headlined on Stuff.co.nz, nor the fact that sometimes people say the strangest things, particularly when given only partial instructions.

No, the notable thing about this story is that someone, even a complete idiot female, should go to the press with such a story and then the press should take it seriously.

The idiot female is now quoted as saying it will go to the Human Rights Tribunal (or whatever they call themselves this week).

Note this is not the person who's sexuality has been advertised but some stupid c#@& who overheard the comment being spoken to her companion.

One would hope when the idiot sheila does this the Human Rights Tribunal, without wasting even more taxpayer dollars unnecessarily, tells her "On yer bike lady".

Sadly I suspect not.

Monday 19 August 2019

Mr Jones III

I see the Mr Jones is still being attacked (or should that be gummed?) by the NZ slime for telling the truth.

Is it a state secret?

Road Policing - a Shake-up Needed

A competitor for NZ's most stupid and inane column ever raises (accidentally) a point that need discussion

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/115118124/passing-lane-dilemma-driver-battles-ticket-for-exceeding-the-limit-when-slow-lane-cars-sped-up

That point is NZ road policing and it's aim.

The main question is whether policing NZ roads is about picking up the most minor incidents and fining whomever is claimed to be responsible or is it about recognising mistakes, analysing whether those mistakes are simply humans being human or a driving fault that can be corrected and actually doing something to correct that fault.

Of course there is the third course, which is about inconveniencing as many as possible by acting as dictatorial stormtroopers with a desperate need to intimidate as many as possible i.e. exactly what NZ traffic policing is now.

There is a need for traffic police to be able to punish the few who deliberately put others in danger but the main thrust of current road policing has nothing (despite police lies) about road safety and everything to do with controlling the motorists.

Too often is enforcement aimed at poor bastards like the gentleman above who, perfectly safely, broke an arbitrary speed limit for a short time, in this case for proven safety reasons.

The policeman who stopped him and wrote the ticket will not have considered the fact that no danger was created by the gentleman's action, indeed that policeman is trained not to do so. He's trained to punish every minor transgression and mistake with a monetary penalty.

We need a serious shake-up of this part of NZ life.

Most minor traffic incidents are just that and if they need any action at all from authorities that action needs to be a gentle reminder of where the motorist went wrong and suggestions of how not to make the same mistake.

Things like traveling for a very short time above the speed limit, whether accidentally (this happens often) or deliberately for safety reasons, driving too slow without consideration for others, failing to actually stop at a stop sign when roads are obviously clear, minor failing to give way (often just a misjudgement that the experience will overcome) and failing to keep left when not dangerous to others can be prevented or admonished by a word or gesture.

Minor traffic accidents, where no injury occurs do not, most of the time, require police presence. Under current law one must report such accidents to enable police to write tickets remotely, usually a the behest of the at-fault party from my experience.

This again is simply road-tax gathering.

I include in this speed cameras and other such remote devices unless these devices are being used only to detect the idiots among us who do actually diminish road safety by their actions. Where this use is not applicable they should be removed.

I'm guessing at least 90% of traffic fines don't need to happen. They happen now because police are trained and required, mainly by busybody local politicians and those who hate to see people relax and enjoy themselves, to find a fault and issue a fine, at every opportunity.

Once these petty fines (and yes, they are all fines) for minor mistakes cease policemen may find themselves far more acceptable to the general public.

They may even find that when they have genuine reason to consult the public people may readily and happily assist.

For a relatively short time more police may be necessary on the roads but as they will have virtually no ability to penalise drivers, cadets or even lay road safety officers could do the job.

After the initial period I suspect NZ will have far more policemen doing real policemen jobs.

This action, of course, will affect the coffers that rely on these road taxes but probably a lot less than a certain politician using NZ Airforce aeroplanes to get to it's Pacific Island holidays.

Disclaimer: I am a professional driver (pro for approx 20 years) who has seldom been ticketed but regularly sees, swears at and avoids the type of minor indiscretion mentioned.

Friday 16 August 2019

Terrifying

I find this story, a view on where NZ will head next if the current government is allowed to carry on, absolutely terrifying.

https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/08/16/nineteen-eighty-four-is-now-a-policing-manual/

This is, admittedly as yet without the violence, exactly the way of Pol Pot, Stalin, Mao, Himmler etc.

It is the way civil rights and womens issues movements are being deliberately dragged.

I would add Adern and O'Driscoll to the list but they're not (quite) there yet.

The western world needs a serious shake up. The whole western world needs desperately to stamp on this travesty - hard.

Hopefully very soon, before the only way out is armed rebellion that will, potentially, destroy civilisation as we know it.

Self discipline

Stuff has a story about a young man turning his life around on it's front page.

I'm not going to link to it, it's just another anti-alcohol story as written, yet another block in the attempt by the communistic nose-pokers to stop people enjoying themselves.

The story is about a young man typical of his type: brought up in a household that did not value self discipline, went into the army where all discipline is enforced by superiors and self discipline has no value at all and got into trouble because of that lack of self discipline.

Like so many others he ended up first in jail, then home with a bracelet.

Now I wish to make myself clear.

This young man is maori, as are so many of his type, but this problem is not limited to maori although maori, as a group (unfair I know), tend not to demand self discipline from their young people.

There are many from other races, particularly europeans and, unfortunately and increasingly, asians, who suffer from the same handicap. Those with African, Persian and Arab heritage will not be far behind (I speak here of New Zealand only).

This is a relatively new development in civilised society, a development that appears in all of the western world.

Probably the worst example is the United Kingdom, particularly London, where thieving, maiming and killing by young (mainly) men are rife.

I believe that this is the one thing that we (partially civilised humans) must address urgently.

If we don't we risk a serious descent back to a time where all life was a fight for survival, where every time you venture abroad you risk life and limb.

Getting back to the young man, he was lucky.

He met a strong young woman who demanded self discipline as the price for their continuing relationship.

At the moment they appear to be living happily ever after.

I'm happy for them.

Unfortunately the world does not have enough people like that young women. We must, as a priority, start teaching young people, and those involved in the upbringing of young people, the value, in fact the need, for self discipline.

Only then will this young couple's (and your) children be safe.

Low even for the slime

A headline on Newshub this morning.

REVEALED: SECOND ARPS LETTER EXPRESSES DISTAIN FOR ADERN, PETERS

You can't argue with Mr Arps on that!

The actual headline when at the story:

Second letter from Philip Arps calls for 'traitors' execution, disdain for Jacinda Ardern, Winston Peters

They want prisoners to vote but seek to deny wrongfully imprisoned people a political opinion, an opinion(based on observation) shared by more than half adult New Zealanders?

How low can the slime and the disgusting government they support go?

Mr Jones II

Mr Jones continues to reveal the truth:

Australian shock jock renews tirade against Jacinda Ardern, calling her 'gormless'

https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/australian-shock-jock-renews-tirade-against-jacinda-ardern-calling-her-gormless

Obviously Mr Jones still knows a thing or two and the NZ slime hate him for that fact.

Thursday 15 August 2019

Words

A couple of innocent (one innocent in law until proven guilty, one falsely imprisoned for a thought crime) men wrote letters.

They were posted to whom they were addressed to.

One of those letters apparently went to Russia, one to a forum-type site called 4-Chan where it was published.

The Department of Corrections (via the minister) and the accidental Prime Minister have publicly apologised for these letters.

Both have appeared in front of the media, therefore on television, to make apologetic statements, blaming someone else of course, for these letters being posted.

Shock! Horror!

I wonder whether it is yet another Labour sex scandal, the fast failing economy or the fact that the accidental PM has once again upset our closest neighbours (and largest trading partner) that needs covering?

Wednesday 14 August 2019

Mr Jones

Mr Jones knows a thing or two.

https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2019/08/shove-a-sock-down-her-throat-australian-broadcaster-alan-jones-blasts-jacinda-ardern.html

One language please.

I was reading comment on the attempted land theft happening in Jafaville this morning.

The column had the chance of being interesting in that it put forward a point of view I hadn't thought of in that context.

Unfortunately I had to give up the column because of the generous distribution throughout it of gobblety-gook.

I'm guessing this gobblety-gook was the recently invented "maori" but whatever it was I have no idea of it's meaning. I doubt I'm alone.

Why bother writing stuff for publication in relatively mainstream media if you don't want it understood?

This business of throwing gobblety-gook expressions in otherwise english language columns is rife. It appears to be a particularly NZ thing, I don't come across it in international publications.

It needs to stop.

Adding foreign words to prose when perfectly good english words are available destroys the reader's train of thought and often makes a whole article unreadable, sometimes meaningless.

Doing so doesn't make the writer look smart, or bi-lingual or anything similar. If anything it makes that writer look too thick to know the words of his/her chosen language.

Let the reader not think I'm against writing in any language the author wants to.

That is the author's choice but the author makes that choice based on the audience he/she wants to reach.

I also recognise that there are times when only a foreign word will suffice.

My complaint is the use of unnecessary use of a different language simply as a "look at me, I'm PC" statement in articles published in places the public are likely to find them.

This practice is simply damned annoying.

Please cease and desist!

New Peguin found.

They've found the skeleton remains of a large penguin in Waipara - one of NZ's new and good wine producing areas a little north of Christchurch.

It seems the peguin stood about 1.6m tall.

It died out about 56 million years ago - no doubt because of colonisation by white men.

Redressing an Injustice

The Chief Statistician has resigned over the disgrace that was the 2018 census.

Good! About time!

Hopefully this failure will also put a stop to the bloody silly suggestion of having voting and voting registration available online.

However one point that has not been discussed is about those penalised for not completing the 2018 census.

From figures I've read one person in five did not do so but a mere handful were penalised for this non-action.

Surely, after such a massive fail and in the interests of honesty and justice, all 20% of the population should be before a judge or those poor bastards who have been should be apologised to and any financial penalty paid returned to them.

Shaw

I met James Shaw not long after he ascended (?) to the co-leadership of the Green Party.

He came across as a likeable but not particularly impressive fellow.

Today he appears to remain exactly that and some commentators are picking up on this.

He was asked today how he gets along with his co-leader and was suddenly defensive about the subject.

https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2019/08/james-shaw-s-awkward-moment-on-the-am-show-defending-relationship-with-marama-davidson.html

I can understand that defensiveness.

Anyone with eyes and a brain can see that Shaw (Jimmy-two-mums to many) is no more than a token penis in the man-hating, indeed hetrosexual hating, group that is the Green caucus.

Thankfully for New Zealand we can add "incompetent in government" to that description.

Solar led climate change

This is about the tenth article I have read recently (and the second today, the first being from Chinese scientists) stating that Solar conditions are responsible for most climate change:

https://www.thegwpf.com/revealed-the-climate-story-forbes-doesnt-want-you-to-read/

Many of the stories also point out the censorship through control of study grants, publishing space etc. that is protecting the climate alarmist religion.

Maybe the conspiracy theorists who claim global warming is yet another attempt at people (and therefore wealth) control.

Quasi government

The accidental PM has stated the NZ Government will provide no assistance to NZ dairy farmers damaged by the massive Fontera loss.

Note it didn't stay silent on the issue - despite, so far, no requests for assistance having been made, it ruled any assistance out.

My guess is that dairy farmers don't tend to vote for nutters deliberately attempting to destroy their livelihood.

(Dairy farmers, in this respect, differ from many other small business owners who now wonder why their businesses are struggling.)

Cooking water

I've started cooking with peanut oil.

It was suggested to me that it would be better than my usual cheap-brand olive oil and it is.

Tastes better.

Peanut oil, though, doesn't thin like olive oil.

I found this out the other day when I purchased a couple of chicken fillets from my local supermarket.

I'm using an induction hob and a wok. Didn't bother with a lid, it's a little chicken in a wok not a shallow frypan.

Heated the wok, heated the oil, threw in the sliced chicken and the dish started spitting, heavily.

The chicken had been pumped so full of water it instantly released it into the oil causing a fairly major cleaning job after the meal, cleaning my cooking knife rack, the bench and hob and even the window behind the cooking area.

Oh, and cleaning my head where a rather large drop of hot oil landed 😬

I literally had to drain the wok of water before continuing cooking - and this is after throwing only 2/3 of one breast in.

That's a lot of $10. per kg water going to waste.

A group of local idiots have been protesting about approx. 1% of 1% of available water being bottled and sold to China.

Why aren't they protesting about bloody Pak'n'Save wasting as much water by pumping it into chicken?  Or beef?

Cloud Ocean pulls plug on Christchurch water bottling plant

https://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/business/114828350/cloud-ocean-pulls-plug-on-christchurch-water-bottling-plant

Now let's see the pig ignorant wankers of Aotearoa Water Action, combined with the Christchurch City Council xenophobic fuckwits, get off their fat, racist arses and find jobs for the 160 poor bastards their scumbaggery have made jobless.

My only comment on abortion

The government has anounced a law update for abortion in NZ.

I have no comment on abortion: I will never get pregnant and will never again get a sheila pregnant so it's not my place to comment.

The only thing that concerns me is yet another attack on free speech in NZ contained in the proposed bill.

That attack is, of course, the banning of protest outside abortion clinics.

If the government don't want anti-abortion protesters (or any other sort of protesters) outside clinics they should ensure ownership of all land within the prescribed area to enable them to use already existing trespass laws.

The banning of protesters as part of this bill is just another attack on free speech, another move in the attempt by the current clowns to complete the move to create a quasi-communist police state here in the South Pacific.

Another attack on free speech

Whangarei Police have prevented a citizen of New Zealand from exercising his right to freedom of thought and expression.

https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/396138/council-and-police-defend-shutting-down-hellfire-preacher-in-whangarei-mall

The gentleman was spouting christian-based nonsense in an area open for public speakers/buskers etc.

The police moved him on with threats of arrest.

The Police, admitting they are completely incompetent to do their job, claimed public safety and order was at risk because some people disagreed with the nonsense.

For the record I also disagree with this type of nonsense, indeed, while not offended, I am appalled any adult could actually believe this Falau-type bullshit

I cannot help but wonder what the Police's actions would have been had the gentleman had a brown skin and been spouting the recently invented gobblety gook that is an official language in New Zealand or, god forbid, spouting crap about a certain Mediterranean prophet.
According to a headline on The Spinoff the Cristchurch shootings of March 15 gave the El Paso shooter last weekend a target for the number of shot people.

The El Paso fellow obviously didn't take into account the totally inept Christchurch Police.

MSM Panic

There is a meeting today, apparently, because the MSM is losing money.

They are concerned that people are finding alternative venues to get their news.

On the same front page of Stuff I read this is a headline:

Live: Ihumātao protests

12:36 PM  Hunt for the Wilderpeople actor Julian Dennison is among the crowd at Parliament.

Maybe this is the reason people like me don't consult Stuff for serious news (and in my case wouldn't at all if it wasn't free)?

Could it be that the advent of some completely unknown (at least to me) who makes a living pretending to be someone else joining an illegal protest that would not exist if the police upheld the law of New Zealand is considered front page news indicates the Stuff are irrelevant to thinking New Zealanders?

Could it also be that the most likely to purchase the product of the MSM  are older people, the group that in recent times the MSM has been actively propagandizing against?

Those older people (many of whom are white males) value honest reporting without editorial (or reporter) comment and value, when comment is made, both sides of an argument being presented.

UPDATE: The very next day the headline given prime position on the front page.
