Face It, They Will Do What They Want!

 Let's get one thing straight: NZ Idiots have given Labour a three year (minimum) dictatorship.

 Denial won't change that.

They can do what they want for three years.

The only handbrakes are their own incompetence (legion) and their desire, if they cannot prevent a further election, to be re-elected in 2003.

The latter they'll do their very best to avoid, altering law after law to make it impossible to stand, let alone campaign, against them.

One thing you can guarantee: Free speech will be a thing of the past within 12 months and all left-wing parties will be tax-payer funded before 2022.

The coming depression will see the hand-outs to buy the 2020 election cease but, along with the three year election campaign, they won't be needed, opposition and criticism will be illegal.

Meantime watch a series of wealth-creators to vacate the country, the $NZD tank and costs rise dramatically.

If you have Kiwisaver, kiss it goodbye. The gummint needs the money.

Those now saying things like "Bbbbbbut, Labour doesn't have a mandate (Farrar from Kiwiblog is the latest I've read) because they campaigned on how they personally saved 1,000,000 lives by destroying the economy locking down the country, not putting forward a single policy, are tilting at windmills.

Your (yes YOUR) failure to demand rightwing politicians (except Seymoure) stand up and point out the faults in Covid reactions and to highlight the correct, responsible responses to the public has seen the communists elected with a working majority.

The named academics are obviously learned people, their cause one that should be supported by every correct-thinking New Zealander but I must wonder whether the academics overplay their hand slightly.

Emerald Press are surely not the only publisher in the English-speaking world.

From the article: "Flynn will not be the last New Zealand academic – or the last New Zealander – to have their right to express their views effectively curtailed."

Why can't Mr Flynn simply use another publisher? Publish himself if no one else will?


Do the academics (and Mr DuFresne) weaken their argument, an argument I think is the major dilemma facing man today, by going the shock/horror route rather than just stating facts?

My only comment on abortion

The government has anounced a law update for abortion in NZ.

I have no comment on abortion: I will never get pregnant and will never again get a sheila pregnant so it's not my place to comment.

The only thing that concerns me is yet another attack on free speech in NZ contained in the proposed bill.

That attack is, of course, the banning of protest outside abortion clinics.

If the government don't want anti-abortion protesters (or any other sort of protesters) outside clinics they should ensure ownership of all land within the prescribed area to enable them to use already existing trespass laws.

The banning of protesters as part of this bill is just another attack on free speech, another move in the attempt by the current clowns to complete the move to create a quasi-communist police state here in the South Pacific.

Whangarei Police have prevented a citizen of New Zealand from exercising his right to freedom of thought and expression.

The gentleman was spouting christian-based nonsense in an area open for public speakers/buskers etc.

The police moved him on with threats of arrest.

The Police, admitting they are completely incompetent to do their job, claimed public safety and order was at risk because some people disagreed with the nonsense.

For the record I also disagree with this type of nonsense, indeed, while not offended, I am appalled any adult could actually believe this Falau-type bullshit

I cannot help but wonder what the Police's actions would have been had the gentleman had a brown skin and been spouting the recently invented gobblety gook that is an official language in New Zealand or, god forbid, spouting crap about a certain Mediterranean prophet.
