Lying: If they pay for it they're allowed to.

ANZ have a disgusting ad' running on television at the moment falsely claiming that people who have grown up with and have first hand experience of living in single glazed, uninsulated houses don't know what they're talking about.

ANZ are apparently donating money to help no-hopers who produce nothing of value and leech on society to warm and insulate their homes.

Were I a shareholder, or even a customer of ANZ I would be unhappy that I, indirectly, would be paying for ANZ's virtue signalling.

I'm not and am not so, of course, I'm not.

ANZ are not the only organisation that is doing this of course, many are but ANZ's ad' annoys me more than most.

Now ANZ, as a private entity, are welcome to spend their money on whatever they wish as, of course, are other corporates but I note also advertising on much the same dishonest lines from various government agencies, particularly news-type outfits (RNZ, TVNZ etc.).

This I do object to.

There needs to be law in New Zealand that ALL government advertising be 100% factual.

WE pay for it!
