Power to the ??????

PM Luxon, temporary Dictator of New Zealand, has announced that there is an energy crisis coming to, if not starting in, New Zealand.

To combat this crisis he will give our money to proven wastrel existing electricity suppliers plus create an LNG import entity using, of course, more of our money.

No mention though, of any move to create facilities for the only sensible, long term, reliable energy producer available today.

I refer to nuclear  - a clean, reliable and safe (as long as current politicians are kept well away from the design and build process) source.

What's the bet Lake Onslow is resurrected shortly, to supplement these imports?

Racist Supports Murderers; Says So.

 The headline:

'Shame on us': Ex-Race Relations Commissioner slams Govt's 'torturous logic' on Palestine

The headline should have been:

Racist Jaarpie Upset NZ Not Supportive of Murderous Scum.

Unsurprising really that the one who turned the Race Relations Commissioner job into a support base for racists now also supports terrorist murderers push for legitimacy.

New Felless

Willis (and the National (led?) Government has appointed a new Governor for the Reserve Bank.

Reading reaction from economist-type commentators it appears she has been appointed mainly because what she lacks (physically) and New Zealand will soon have Greta (Mk II) in charge of inflation control and monetary matters.

The Chinese fellow may have got his wish: We now live in "interesting" times.

Trump Wrong for Once

Mr Trump has done pretty well so far in his second attempt at leading the World but one thing he has just said (according to Daily Telegraph) misses the mark.

 I refer you to:

Trump: Climate Change the “greatest con job ever perpetrated”

While there can be no doubt the climate change fiasco is a major con job it comes only close to the actual greatest con-job of all time.

As yet no other con job in history even approaches the pinnacle that is the marketing of chicken skin and bone, covered with breadcrumbs, as food.

Still champion, despite many challengers, of con jobs is chicken wings.

Free Speech

The current craze for mourning free speech amuses me.

1981 in New Zealand was about free speech and most of you were, as you proudly proclaim, agin' it.

Recognition

The nominal head of a leaderless committee, known (jokingly) as the Prime Minister and elected only by a very small group of people (the National Party executive), has decided New Zealand will "recognise" the non-existant (both in fact and historically) "Palestine" as a state.

The man represents probably less than 1% of New Zealanders.

Is this legal?

Long Winded Terror

Many, many moons ago, way back before Adam headed bovines, I became involved, involuntarily, with some garage sales.

In Timaru at the time was two old men who attended such events, not to view or purchase but to find someone who's ear they could bend.

One spoke, for hours, seemingly without even stopping to breathe, on the Gnomes of Zurich, the other on something else equally bullshit.

Another cruised cricket matches on weekends, trapping poor bastards sitting around while teammates batted. He talked, non-stop, about obscure players who were never selected.

You could tell he was approaching. There would be a mass exodus of all except the unsuspecting doing score-book duty.

Sir Bob Jones, in his columns, made mention of similar men in boxing circles and the impossibility of getting away from one of them once trapped.

Always a reasonably well dressed older man, fixed of stare, unblinking and with a very serious demeanor. Usually carrying "the evidence" in a bag or case and, without fail, terror inducing.

Their arguments only stood up until you had time to think. Mainly unrelated "facts" thrown together in confusion and drawn out to create strange, unsupportable conclusions.

Over the years, on occasion of boredom, I have wondered where these fellows went now TradeMe etc have largely superseded garage and yard sales.

I recently discovered the answer: They now pollute blogs.

Now, did I tell you abo..............................................

Right v Left

Right wing? Left wing?

I’ve read a bit on the subject of these over the last month or so. Commenters seem confused.

One viewed the Right as whatever she* thinks at any time while the Left was almost any populist movement – including movements that moved Europe out of feudelism and towards democracy before Marx, Engells put pen to paper.

Others viewed the Right as somewhere between Hitler and Pol Pot.

Since Charlie Kirk many others view the Right as anyone who does not accept, without thought, every dictate of racist, sexist or religionist scum. Notably for this last lot only one of the three Middle-Eastern Godbothering outfits is acceptable despite all having the same God.

To me Right v Left is fairly simple:

Right means accepting full responsibility for your actions and recognising those actions created the present.

Left means it’s always someone else’s fault and someone else MUST fix it.

Note: Like a good fellow I’m trying to use preferred pronouns here.

Inconsiderate Driving?

 The headline:

Whale dies after stranding on Dunedin beach

I can't help but wonder if the whale was too busy singing at the Kauri trees and forgot to watch where it was going.

I'm Back!

I got seduced by another blog. I'm back!

Been thinking about New Zealand's leaders (PMs) and how poorly the list reads.

PMs I remember:

Holyoake Took over after Nash/Nordmeyer penalised working (and drinking/smoking) New Zealanders for the foibles of the chattering classes. In 12 years did nothing. Set the example the current lot.

An aside: Nash/Nordmeyer were still hated by my working-class grand-parents 10 years after they were deposed.

Kirk/Wowling: Too short tenure each to do much damage.

Muldoon: Great man who served New Zealand well for six years. Treated badly by the communist utter scum who wrote the fiction now called “history”. Went mad about 1982.

Muldoon didn’t always get it right (He should have drowned Bolger and Birch at birth) but most of his legacy benefited New Zealand. Unfortunately, at the time New Zealand could not afford Muldoon.

Lange: Dithered while the Great and Good Sir Roger, Mike, Prebs, Michael et al saved New Zealand. Gutless internationally. Entertainer.

Palmer: Did most of his damage when not PM.

Moore: I blinked and he was gone.

Bolger: Until the communist cunt, was the most damaging PM in NZ history. Introduced MMP – for which We continue to pay the price. TINA has a lot to answer for.

Shipley: New Zealand’s first sheila PM (Someone please remind Clark of this fact). Our Jen was shafted by the slime from day 1 and it still took them two years.

Clark: I once heard a businessman praise Cullen for his assistance. This is the sole positive I’ve ever heard about the Clark clowns.

Introduced the "sisterhood"; Now New Zealand is fucked! Coincidence?

Key: By far the most popular PM New Zealand has seen since WWII ended. Kept New Zealand afloat when so many others floundered.

The slime, with the help of brain-dead fuckwits, are intent on destroying his legacy. Many of those fuckwits support the National (socialist) Party.

English: Lost twice, both times for no real reason. Tenure too short to do any harm.

The Communist Cunt*: Appointed by Peters, re-invested by sheilas voting with their arses instead of their heads.

Destroyed or seriously damaged everything it touched – a typical communist.

Hipkins: The Dweeb too ineffectual to be called “a man”, less intelligence than the sausage rolls he claims to crave.

Post Cunt/Hipkins New Zealand has been run by a leaderless committee – badly.

God defend New Zealand!

* Thank you Parliament for legitimising this word.
