Weakness

The Poms have finally unearthed Steve Smith's weakness.

Let him score 140 then attack him with rubbish bowling 😃

Ashes Reporting in NZ

The Ashes are in full swing again, and it's great to see.

One thing I do note however, is that NZ reporting of the games are not headlined by the sublime 144 of Steve Smith on return from exile or the fact that the Poms could not amass the equivalent number of runs to Australia's first innings (They scored 27 less) despite batting on a wicket that had settled down by session three, day one, to allow the last two Ocker wickets to contribute 166 and the Ocker attack being led by a bowler damned near old enough to have coached Dennis Lillee.

Not even on the fact that the Poms are 17 behind with 6 wickets in hand after day two.

The headlines both days have been about a small crowd of wankers commenting on some misjudgements  from long ago by three of the Ockers, misjudgements those Ockers have paid very heavily for.

The wankers can be excused, they are, after-all, Poms but the slime can not, except, of course by the fact that they are slime and therefore far from in touch with reality.

Asthetics

Has anyone else been appalled by the very large numbers and names adorning the players in the current Ashes test?

If this is a requirement for an international test championship I'm agin' it!

What next?

In 2017 it was accepted that our galaxy was a flat spiral.

Then the halfwit voters elected a quasi-communist government.

Now look what's happened!

RNZ Headline: Milky Way galaxy is warped and twisted, not flat

https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/world/395852/milky-way-galaxy-is-warped-and-twisted-not-flat

Say goodnight differently.

Packaging fine Alto has been fined $250K after a worker got their fingers into a machine, I presume accidentally.

https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/packaging-firm-previous-failings-fined-250k-after-worker-loses-fingers-in-unguarded-machine

The story states that the worker had the tips of two of their fingers removed after the incident. The worker has been compensated $32K.

Alto has been remiss previously and the fine is probably fair enough, as is the worker compensation as it's out of the fine.

What is not fair is this statement from Chief inspector, specialist interventions, Hayden Mander, who said the company should have been aware of the risks involved.

<i>"This company has not learned from its previous failings. If you've been subject to 10 notices for health and safety failings since 2014, you've got to know you're not doing something right," he said.

"The right response to this alarming record should have been a company-wide review of its machine guarding - instead a worker has been left with life changing injuries."</i>

Life changing injuries?

Get off the grass!

The only thing "life changing" about losing the tips of two fingers is that this worker will, at the end of each shift, now have to find a new way of saying goodnight to the boss.

It's OK if you're ....

It has been announced that a black seppo noisemaker called Tyler, The Creator has been granted a visa to perform in New Zealand.

No doubt many members of the current government will rock up (with free tickets of course) to hear his racket.

You may have heard of this noisemaker: He was part of a group, Odd Future, that was banned in 2014.

A RNZ report from 2014 states that a spokesperson for Immigration New Zealand, Border operations manager Karen Urwin explained why.

Though Urwin said at the time that Odd Future was barred on grounds of threat to public order, and not because of their lyrical content, internal correspondence – the sender and recipient(s) of which has been redacted in reliance on the section of the Act that protects the privacy of natural persons – shows the explicit content of their music was taken into account:

This group clearly has a history of promoting and inciting hatred. ... Their lyrics are homophobic and racist. They glorify rape and murder fantasies, as well as cannibalism and necrophilia. ... Were they to be permitted to travel to New Zealand and to perform I believe, on the basis of their track record thus far, that they are likely to incite violence (towards women), racial, sexist and homophobic disharmony in New Zealand.

Obviously if you make horrible noise, as in the Rape-John-Key's-Daughter scum, you are not held to any standard at all by the current clowns.

End of Life Choice Bill

Mr Seymour has altered his End of Life Choice Bill, narrowing it down to include only those who have a terminal illness.

Leaving aside that everyone has such an illness - called life - I must withdraw my support of the bill.

I believe every person over the age of consent should have the right to request assistance in ending their life.

I also believe that every other person, doctor or not, should have the right to provide or refuse that request.

This bill will not provide such.

The bill will be used as a weapon to prevent people gaining help and many will suffer and die in great pain and discomfort while scum argue over whether they are terminal or not.

For mine I hope some kind person puts me down rather than leave me forgotten, dribbling, drooling and pissing myself in a dark, unvisited corner of some godawful state resthome.
