Am I alone?
The headline:
"Fundamental" errors see David Tamihere's double murder convictions quashed
From what I have read it was a matter of "when" not "if", particularly after Hoglin's remains were found far from where the police claimed they would be.
Unfortunately, due to several recent travesties in New Zealand the first thought I had when reading the news was "Supreme Court? Racist decision?".
There-in lies the problem, for me anyway.
The whole New Zealand system has become so suspect that every decision by judges, civil servants and pollies now raise the same question in me: "How racist was the reasoning?".
I find this saddening and a serious indictment on New Zealand society.
Am I alone?
