Drones

I note that New Zealand is being urged to arm it's Military with "drones".

Despite this suggestion coming from a schoolteacher domiciled at the communist enclave of Massey University I partially agree.

Drones are a lower cost alternative with which to threaten the odd foreign fishing boat attempting to compete with the local "Maori" for fish most New Zealanders can't afford to eat anyway. Gotta protect those "Maori" fraudsters!

Any country able to mount any larger threat to New Zealand will just overwhelm us, brushing aside any New Zealand Military attempts to defend "our shores".

The New Zealand Military are, of course, the same people who can't drive a boat past an innocent country, hitting it (the country) instead.

Only partially though because New Zealand will be equally served by simply attaching wings to appropriately folded $100 notes and flying them at any aggressor.

Fast?

 The headline:

'Everything just happened so fast': Dad captures moment car skids off black ice

A useful story that reminds every driver of rural roads that it has been a wetter than most winter on the east coast and is cold. Black ice can be a hazard in any shaded spot.

It was the headline that attracted me.

I have slid on black ice several times over the years, both while driving and while walking. Sometimes as a quick slip, sometimes a longer, rather attention-grabbing slide. Luckily I have never damaged either my vehicle or myself while out of control.

I have met several who have.

Every time I have encountered black ice, every time I remember anyway, it has been the slowness in which the utter helplessness has unfolded that has been most concerning - particularly in a vehicle.

Sitting for what seems like an eternity waiting for the vehicle to stop so that  control can be retrieved is one of the worst feelings ever.

Nothing in that experience ever happened "so fast"!

Brain in Neutral

Is it the time for fucking stupid statements?

1: Read Mike's Minute on NZH this morning I note a repeat of a comment seen quite often over the last week or two that the next British Prime Minister (The bloke who runs the place) is "unelected by Britain".

Of course he bloody is!

Britain, like New Zealand, Australia and a few other countries DO NOT ELECT a bloke to run the place. They elect a Government (or in the case of New Zealand a shower of shit selected from narrow-interest groups who MAY form a Government)

Burnham will be a duly elected MP who has been elected by his peers to lead the Pom Labour Party and, as they currently form the Government, he will be, by default, the Prime Minister.

This is as close as Kingdoms get to electing a 2IC.

2: On a blog a few days ago I read a comment that the troller could not criticise an immigration policy because it (the commenter) was "descended for immigrants" At least 99.999999999999999999999% of the planet are descended from immigrants. If there actually is a single human not "descended from immigrants" he/she will be in deepest, darkest Africa (and unlikely to be commenting or reading a minor New Zealand blog.

The country's in trouble when even the trolling is substandard.

Reduce Political Interferance

ACT have presented the idea that Government should be reduced. One column about this. I agree.

Unfortunately, after that idea there appears to be no real path to do so. The main blockage on any path is and will always be Government itself.

A Suggested Solution:

a: Hang every second politician, every third "Civil" servant. The Planet will thank you.

b: Make the survivors legally and actually, by means of capital and corporal punishment, responsible for the action of ALL Government actors under their control, employees and representatives alike.

c: Allow politicians to administer capital and corporal punishment on relevant employees of the State to achieve their aims.

The State must be made to work for the populace and deliver results based on voters' wishes and only by demanding that representatives represent can this be achieved.

The immediate cessation of any party "whipping" of politicians in Parliament and the demand that politicians represent their electorate (and can prove so) will assist in this matter but only if their are very real penalties for failure.

d: Make ALL punishments under this scheme public - the Country could do with an increase in light entertainment of the comedic type.

Shop Around

Harvey Norman gave me $280. Not completely sure why: Probably because I'm their best looking customer.

I decided, rather than spending it wisely, on wine, women and song, I would blow the $280. on a replacement blender. I like soups and nut butter and my old machine is 10 years+ old and wearing out.

Grok and other sites  recommended Vitamix. Reviews all said expensive but worth it and for an old part like me a 5 year warranty is a lifetime guarantee.

I shopped around online and found prices varied for cheaper machines from $570. To $1,100. Amazon au was the $1,100.

I wandered into Harvey Norman Northwood and found they had a e510, not marked as a special, for $412. I purchased it.

By looking around and visiting the store I saved $150.

Now, of course, I have to learn to use it.

No More Dictatorship

...by racists.

The Coalition is introducing legislation to make only elected representatives on Councils able to vote.

At the same time legislation should also be introduced compelling MPs to vote for the measures their electorate want rather than those their party bosses want.

I digress.

Why, instead, are the Coalition not introducing legislation making ALL racist measures illegal within New Zealand?

Fees Free

I was reminded of this this morning while reading Breaking Views

The fees-free policy was implemented in 2018. Incoming Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern had announced to prospective tertiary students, “your first year is on me.” It wasn’t, of course. It was on New Zealand taxpayers, and it has cost them approximately $350 million per year ever since.

Send the communist cunt the bill AND ENFORCE IT!

Headline

I noticed this headline on Breaking Views (https://breakingviewsnz.blogspot.com/) under their News heading:

Iwi leaders furious about Budget 2026, call it ‘economic apartheid’

Didn't read the attached story but I bet I could write it before waking up in the morning.

Thing is though the headline could be correct, after all no one knows more about the implementation of apartheid than Iwi "Leaders".

Seattle Walls

An interesting story out of Seattle, NW USA.

It appears that some suburban residents are having to place physical barriers (build walls) around their neighbourhoods to keep out undesirable thieving and murdering scum because the police don't have the resources to do so.

Seattle is, of course, a leader in the kiss-a-criminal-prosecute-the-victim movement led by left-wing Democrats across the USA.

The problem Seattle has, along with other such urban areas in the Western World, is that probably 60% of those building those walls will still vote left at the next election.

Like New Zealand's Labour and Green supporters they are too fucking stupid to understand the cause of their problems: Themselves!

Almost Gone!

Communist propagandist Paul Thompson, CEO of RNZ, has announced he will resign at the end of 2026.

This is a celebratory post, no link.

Our highly respected chief executive and editor-in-chief Paul Thompson has tendered his resignation and will leave RNZ on December 31,” RNZ staff were told in an email from chair Jim Mather this morning.

I question the "highly" and suggest in that Mather is stretching the truth.

The only question remaining is "Why December 2026 instead of fucking off NOW and doing New Zealand tax-payer-funded broadcasting a massive favour?

Deals?

In my email to day the first of the Kings Birthday deals is advertised.

I've been on a buying spree lately: At the start of the year I purchased a new mattress and most of my bedding no longer fit so I've had to buy new sheets, duvet and covers (winter and summer) plus my tablet broke (when I went to sleep sitting in the sun) and, being five years old, needed to be replaced.

Add to that normal expenses of things like annual insurance, new battery for the car, power, internet etc. and my operating account is looking sad.

Two things I've noted: Every time you buy something nowdays you need to buy extras to get the best use or safety out of it and during events (laughingly referred to as "holidays" ) the specials often list items with prices well above the prices before those event days.

One outfit had some sheets I was considering 25% less both before and after their 5 day Easter specials.

Another outfit made it's own special event by announcing a "birthday sale" and increasing the price of a tablet I was considering by 33% for that "sale".

Both those outfits are, notably, part of international franchises.

I am not calling for official interference here, far from it, but if you are shopping in New Zealand: BEWARE!

Three Down

Mountain Home Air Force Base locked down after plane crash

The Fox News story: US Airforce 'planes crash

Three planes down (link to third on linked page), No missiles, no rockets but the USA is still doing better downing fighter jets than Iran.

When?

 The headline:

'Gobsmacked': Govt move to scrap fees-free scheme met with outrage from student groups

 Think hard.

When was the last time a Government action (according to the msm) not met with "outrage"?

NZ Public Healthcare

I was reading a column on public health futures,

Roger Partridge: Health innovators face the structural question

The only options put forward were :

More tax - with a different name.

More tax - with different middlemen.

Sums up New Zealand public healthcare perfectly.

Tinman Chicken Soup: recipe

I’m a lazy bastard so I purchased a slow cooker. Up until now I used a multi-cooker.

I warmed the pressure cooker up while I grabbed three chicken thigh cuts from the fridge along with a cup of frozen mushroom slices and a handful of dried peas (whole).

I threw them in the warmed cooker, added a cut chilli (cut to open up the seed area) and a cup (combined) of light soy sauce, apple cider vinegar and a splash of red sauce,

Added water to almost cover the mix.

Cooked on low overnight – about 9 hours.

In the morning I boned the chicken and removed skin and fat/gristle lumps from the mix and used a food processor to reduce the mix to a lumpy soup.

The last couple of days I’ve made a chicken-noodle cup-a-soup, added it to a cup of the chicken mix and heated in microwave until steaming hot.

Add a pour of cream and eat in the late autumn sun.

A bloody good lunch!

Note: I use chilli instead of onion and/or garlick and next time I’ll use white wine instead of vinegar and soy but either will work.

Instead of the cup-a-soup try a cup of 2 tablespoon chicken stock and  water boiled.

Will make 4 meals or serve six as soup.

Concerned of Kaiapoi

Dear Reader, I just read this story on the NewstalkZB site:

Deputy principal committed serious misconduct through ‘vulgar’ comments about students

I am seriously concerned that young, impressionable children are being "taught" by those recorded as having officially complained about this halfwit.

Sheep (who don't vote labour)

Among the 32 sheds investigated, 11 held ZQ accreditation – a New Zealand certification intended to assure ethical wool production. Photo / RNZ

There are nasty bastards out there, some of whom are involved with shearing.

I've personally seen some awful abuse (usually of pressers) by shearing gang members, 90% of the time the worst offenders being of the brown, female variety.

Shearing sheds are often fairly hard places, sheep are, almost always, bastards who regularly need serious coercion of the physical kind just so their overall well-being (note me slipping into "woke" language there) is ensured.

I think now of the number of times I've thrown that last bitch over the fence into the shearing pen because the c&*t won't go through the gate.

Most stock handlers keep a length of PVC pipe on hand simply for the more recalcitrant.

Hearing a PETA inspired prosecution is underway because shearers have been observed hitting sheep with a blunt instrument or stitching wounds without anesthetic (shearers ain't vets but the sheep comes first and the vet is often hours away) or holding the bitch down with their (usually bare or sack clad) feet while they beautify them is unsurprising.

PETA is an organisation that prefers to kill millions of very small animals violently while pretending to care for larger varieties.

I expect one of the charges will be that informed, written consent for a hair-cut was not obtained from each animal.

A shearing shed is not a beauty salon: the sheep need the shearing shed and the beauty treatments must be successful and the sheep benefit from them - unlike the human kind which fail 99.99% of the time.

Prosecute the bad bastards but for being bad bastards, not doing a job PETA scum and their utter scum reporter mates couldn't.

Climate Change

Climate change appears to be raising it's ugly head once again.

Noticably climate change became a "popular" cause (coincidentally of course) at the exact time that Eastern European communism bit the dust - Western European communism, particularly in France and Great Britain, continues unabated.

It has been interesting to observe this phenomena and I can't help but notice that since the anti-carbon lot started gaining influence the bloody weather has got worse.

Another coincidence?

How Lazy?

 The headline:

'Doom spiral': Auckland's poorest now can't afford petrol to pick up food parcels

“I was talking to one of the connectors that was on the phone, and he said it was 9.30 in the morning and he’d already had three people asking if we could deliver to them because they just couldn’t get in.

Too fucking lazy to actually go out to receive something for nothing.

You don't work. You've got all fucking day. Walk you lazy bastards!
