 Job seekers: Are they?

NewstalkZB (so I assume the Herald) has a headline up:

 Expert issues warning as more job hunters use AI to craft CVs

 The "expert" is, as always, a "CEO" of something I've never heard of and, also as always, a fucking sheila.

When was the last time you heard of a proper CEO perusing CVs?

This shows because once again the CEO, if you believe the NZ Herald/NewstalkZB on the source, has got it wrong.

As an ex-employer, unless I was looking for a minimum wage, low IQ fuckwit with some internet ability, I can assure you an obviously AI produced CV would instantly go in the "Don't-Waste-Your-Time pile" - and all AI produced bullshit is obvious. 

AI produces thoughtless, uninteresting and brainless bullshit that reproduces the mistakes and prejudices of the original writers, magnified many times. The spelling and grammar is usually painfully correct and the "points" repeated endlessly until the word quota is met.

The last thing any manager wants is an employee unable to think or solve basic problems and one who is also dishonest is a must to avoid for any job requiring a CV. In CVs AI = dishonesty and laziness.

Individual CVs may contain as big a load of bullshit as a combined Labour/Greens convention but at least they demonstrate imagination and an actual desire to be considered for the position.

NewstalkZB/NZH must do better! 

 

Not Real. Get Over It

 There is a story on Fox today I'm commenting on. I won't link to it because I don't think I should but it is about a 14yo young lady in Texas who, one morning discovered her acquaintances were looking at fake nude photos with her head in them. She appears to be a typical, pretty teenager.

The story is one of the ongoing series seen worldwide of the "How Bad is AI" genre.

The young lady is, apparently, horrified.

I don't really understand why.

I know young females tend to be hysterical, something many don't lose until about 70, but a fake photo? It's fake!

If the photo(s) were real there would be a problem, but fake?

Doesn't she understand that most males form such photographs in their heads most of the time? Young girls, from the time their bodies start changing (in the West at least) play on that and most do very well out of it, with relationships, material goods etc.

But more importantly, can't someone talk to her and explain that the AI thing is fantasy taken to it's next step, a fantasy born out of the fact that man's natural imagination is now not allowed and the idea it must be suppressed?

The World will be a far better place when this young lady and the thousands of others who will no doubt be in her position at some stage are simply able to say "It's fake. You gotta work, hard, to earn the real thing."

Adults will do more for their young by reinforcing this than pandering to the hysteria of modern halfwit sheilas (of either sex).
